PROJECT OVERVIEW
MCUBE Engineering Consultants supported a Rolls-Royce facility assignment as an independent HVAC performance-verification and commissioning advisory consultant. The engagement focused on establishing an objective technical view of installed system performance and supporting project close-out decisions.
THE REQUIREMENT
The project required independent verification of HVAC operation against the available design intent and project requirements, supported by field testing, engineering review, and a clear technical record for the project team.
OUR SCOPE
- Independent HVAC performance testing and functional verification.
- Review of available design information, system data and commissioning records.
- Assessment of system response and operating parameters relevant to the installed HVAC arrangement.
- Commissioning Authority (CxA) support and independent technical observations.
- Preparation of a structured verification report and close-out recommendations.
OUR APPROACH
MCUBE applied an evidence-based verification workflow: review the design basis, observe and test the installed systems, compare results with project requirements, and document conclusions independently of the installing contractor. The approach was intended to give the client team a clear and defensible basis for technical close-out.

KEY TECHNICAL HIGHLIGHTS
| THERMAL COMFORT Independent diagnosis of comfort performance in an active hospitality facility. |
LOAD MODELLING ASHRAE-based modelling using operational and stress-test scenarios. |
SOLAR IMPACT Review of façade and solar-gain influence on occupied zones. |
| AIR DISTRIBUTION Assessment of distribution and ventilation effectiveness. |
PHASED STRATEGY Optimization, verification and future capacity planning. |
DECISION SUPPORT Evidence-led basis for retrofit and operational decisions. |
ENGINEERING VALUE
- Independent, engineering-led delivery with clear technical accountability.
- Structured coordination that reduces ambiguity between design intent and project execution.
- Traceable review methodology using documented inputs, standards and project criteria.
- Practical outputs developed to support construction, commissioning, retrofit or approval decisions as applicable.
RESULTS
The client received an evidence-based HVAC optimization roadmap that clarified the relationship between cooling demand, system operation and thermal-comfort performance, supporting targeted action and more informed future investment decisions.
